Quite an emotive response, Mr Churton! If "the point" is simply to lose no money then we might as well fold altogether - we won't lose a cracker then! The supposed accession to the ownership of "money men" held out the hope for naive folk such as myself that we would break the cycle of having to sell out of sheer necessity. At the very least, I hoped that where we did succumb to offers we would use the money to gradually increase the quality of the new recruits. At that rate we might at least have met Mr Conway's stated aim of stability in the Championship - a far more entertaining league than the one we are currently engaged in. This does not appear to have happened. So because the bond with any decent head coach or set of players is broken almost as soon as their potential has been uncovered it becomes difficult to retain the romantic attachment to the club one felt in one's earlier years. But it's alright for people to have different views, isn't it? I am still asking what is the point?
