    RE: That's totally fair.

and yet we start the season with the same players who missed those chances, too many players have had there chance and blown it at this football club and Davey still persists with them

Of course he's entitled to his opinion but its a lie to claim it as a fact when it isnt

And to keep maintaining that it is a fact is just silly.

For example it isn't a fact that windy was wrong to contact his employer. It is an opinion (that I share) but not a fact)

    Why?

I think if we finished above both Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, I'd be very pleased.

If we finished below Scnuthorpe, I'd be very dissapointed.

    That ok?

    RE: That's totally fair.

But on the other hand, if the opposing teams had not missed as many chances against us/ other teams, then we could have been relegated, 2 sides to every thing mate, not just 1 side.

Thats not what you implied before tho`.

you said we should not be comparing opurselves to Forest and Bristol.
I think our chairman has just as much cash as those 2 clubs chairmen, so tell me why you think they are better than us?
Do they get massively bigger crowds?

I am in no way slating Patrick Cryne , before I start getting any abuse. I agree that the club shopuld be self sufficiant, but today that does not seem to be the way football is run, crazy really.

They didn't pay that much, sure of it.

Patterson cost about 1.3 Million and Eagles cost around the 1.5 Million mark.

RE: So, it's not a fact that he's done a good job for Barnsley F.C?

Swansea? The same Swansea who are in the second tier for the first time in 25 fecking years

Bristol City are no bigger than those - they just get better gates because their fans are better rewarded

Ah yeah, that's right. So that's £2.8 million. McDonald was £500,000

    That's £3.3 million.

They did sell Gray for £1.5mil too.

Davey has done a good job but the big questions are can he improve the team and take us to the next level (mid table) and can he improve himself and his backroom staff (team selection/tactics). This season is going to be his biggest challenge and I for one hope he proves a lot of people wrong.
