What a load of ******** that sentence is. I didn't word it properly with Winnall - and it does read like he's been out for months. Maybe it should have said that Hemmings and Lita have been so ineffective that Cole has had to play more than he should have. If you asked your original question three weeks ago, then the answers on here would be a lot different. We're going through a bad patch, that's all.
Chuff me you really must be a glutton for punishment. This year over last any day of the week. I don't even dread away games anymore.
Points wise we aren't much better off in this league than the championship. So it would be better to still be in the championship making more money for the club and watching us play better teams in front of better crowds.
I loved watching Championship football. It meant that at least when we were rubbish you could appreciate the opposition. It's true that we have one of the biggest budgets in League One, and Wilson and Mansford have both said we are aiming for promotion. I actually won't be too bothered if we don't go up - just hope come May we can say we're developing as a squad and have some kind of obvious long-term plan. Off the field, I think we're improving and it appears we're more media savvy and better on a commercial level than we have been in recent years.
That made me laugh. I was watching waiting for the 'Hoof it down the field' chant after pass number 3 went sideways.
If you are really that pissed off then stay at home and stop sharing your boring negative diatribe. We aren't gonna win every game, not eve 50% of them, get over it.
And I thought Conan was all Wilson at start of season, I said at start of season with a new squad etc etc we'll finish midtable. People who thought instant promotion are daft
It's called having a debate. It's sort of the whole point of the existence of this board. So you think it's unreasonable to hope to win twelve home games? You'll do for Mansford.
At least we haven't lost 50% of our games any more, so your statement is now factually incorrect. Seriously though, that wasn't great yesterday. Even me being Mr Positive can't excuse what I sat through freezing my rocks off for ninety minutes. On a side note, no Bailey in the middle meant that their midfield had cigars on for most of the match. Bailey might not play 90 yard raking balls (because he isn't good enough to), but he's a busy little bleeder who doesn't give the opposition the time we gave them yesterday. Can't wait to update this after the Walsall game when we've lost half our games again!
To be fair Mansfords comments in his programme notes yesterday about our recent form were a good read. Said he's not trying to hide away from most recent performances have been unacceptable and said Danny and his staff know this.
