I'm certain I've read it somewhere

That Simon Davey was quoted as saying he was hoping to bring Whaley in on a permanent basis in January. I just wish I could find where I'd seen it.

    RE: If I remember

I'd much rather us sign a left footed wide player. Whaley may turn out to be a good player, but Devaney and Campbell-Ryce are good players we already have at the club. I think the money could be used better elsewhere.

Difficulty any winger is going to have

is trying to stand out in a team that already has Campbell Ryce. I think with De Silva back, he might find himself playing as 2nd striker. He's shown he's got a good first touch, he's prepared to take a man on and have a shot from outside the box, still early to be making any judgement. Improvement on Gary Teale, which wasnt hard tbf.

    Only his second game

Give him a chance, I think he's settling in and showing more, earlier than any of the other loanees we've had lately, he's come in at a very difficult and emotive time and trying to replace a player lost to us in a very nasty way. All our fans feel angry, upset, hard done to so just imagine what the atmosphere will be like in the dressing room, I wouldn't think it would be very easy for any player to come into this situation and do well straight away.

Prepared to give him a chance

seems that Davey has been following him for a while, doesnt seem like a panic loan, more with a view to a permanent deal, hopeful that there's more to come from him once he's had a few weeks to work with the squad. Still like to see a left footed left winger mind.

He wasn't brought in to replace Hume. He was signed before the Sheffield United game.

He was brought in as cover/pressure for Devaney/JCR.

If I recall Hume was up on his own. He had Whaley wide left, Devaney wide right & JCR behind Hume.

    Maybe.

    Yep.

I get the honour of driving the Tractor this time.
I think it might takes us 29 hours to get to Nottingham - which isn't a problem as there's a fridge & telly in the cabin.

    Do Hooters serve Lesbian Soup?

I wonder if any Ladies in there have low self esteem?
