RE: it isn't our national stadium

Correct, sorry I got carried away with all the excitement of getting to the semi,s, all the attention from the media etc.made me think we were part of life, but no life only happens in london, the rest of us are only bit part players and providers of cash.

    Why?

The national hockey centre isnt, national indoor arena isnt, national football museum isnt, yet national football stadium has to be in the worst area of the country to get to.

    RE: Why?

I don't think you would ask that had we won. If we had won you would'nt worry about getting in or out.

I don't think it is difficult to get to...

Millenium stadium was a nightmare. We left Meadowhall at 10.15am, were at Stanmore by 1.40pm, wander round and Wembley within 10 minutes of getting on the Tube. Admittedly getting from the tube to the ground was intimidating but that was courtesy of Cardiff fans. It says clearly on the Wembley stadium website "Wembley is a public transport destination"

We drove to cardiff, drove right up to the entrance to the stadium without so much as a 2 minute queue at any junction, parked up and had a nice wander round.
Wembley, 2 hours to go 4 miles on the official coaches which the stadium DOES apparently cater for.

I'm pretty sure that i've been asking it ever since the stadium plans were unveiled. Regardless of whether we won or lost my opinion has always been that it was built in the wrong location for no reason other than to keep the londoners and the FA happy (afterall their headquarters is down there)

I guess I just like the tradition. Far prouder to say I went to the old and new wembley than I ever will about going to the Millenium stadium.

Fair point about the coaches mate, just thought the stadium was incredible
