    I won't be looking at the league table the morning after a cup game. Surely that's part of the attraction.

    I take it that you weren't bothered about the Liverpool, Chelsea or Cardiff matches then?

    1. I hadn't reached the end of my tether over the constant relegation battles at that point

    2. The competition and likely strength of the opponents isn't comparable. Man U will field a more inexperienced team than they do for the FA Cup.
