I only use it if I need something really urgent, as delivery is unreal, as they mainly use B2C. Hate giving money to Beszos, if I can help it.
I had a similar scam just after we had moved house and, significantly, just after our six-month forwarding arrangement with the Post Office had ended, which showed that someone at the local PO could have been in on it. They set up two bank accounts in my name and using the old address. They then ordered stuff - it was mobile phones - and tried to intercept them from the delivery van by pretending to be me. Fortunately, the new occupant of the house had worked for Lloyds Bank, recognised the scam and notified us. I was able to cancel both illegal bank accounts, one with RBS and the other Northern Rock before any credit was drawn from them. I did notify the delivery agent (I think it was Post Office), as I felt their drivers could be at risk if someone tried to steal a package from them. They weren't that interested. The main issue is that this can affect your credit score, as it records in your name. Watch out for statements from bank accounts which are not yours. Contact the banks straight away. FYI Northern Rock were just brilliant. RBS were just useless and couldn't have cared less.
It’s happened to me, I got a a penis pump delivered and it’s only my Mrs who’s got an account with them
