I said on my first post on this thread before the season started a lot of people were picking the Saints.. I see why. Meanwhile the Falcons lost to the Browns.. THE BROWNS!?
Saints to Win the NFC. Then its between the Steelers and Chiefs in the AFC for me, although the Patriots will probably beat the Steelers again in Pittsburgh to sneak the 2nd Seed with a game to go. Some teams have started to show some form though so notable mentions to Rams, Texans, Bears, Chargers and unbelievably the Redskins. Still can't see past the Saints though in the NFC. I don't think the Rams are the real deal. They've done well, but they're only just getting over the line in games they could quite easily have lost, against teams that are ****.
It's like watching Barnsley with a 2-0 lead. I should feel confident, but I'm waiting for everything to unravel.
TD Bears. Surely that's enough now. Foles injured though, which isn't great news if we are playing next week.
And breathe. Making the playoffs in a fairly shambolic season is quite a respectable defence of the title. We were quite literally picking up defensive players off the street at one point. Given that, anything that doesn't involve another 40+ point blowout to the Saints, or any kind of loss to Dallas, will be OK with me.
What a ending to the Browns game with Baker Mayfield being intercepted by the best defence in the NFL. Cleveland so close to helping their most hated rivals to a play off berth.
Thought Mayfield would get them to another first down, especially after that amazing catch that got reviewed. Odd that two teams from different states hate each other so much. Would be very weird if we had a similar situation. Blunts game over at their own ground watching our match on a big screen and chanting for us knowing if we won they made the play offs. I can imagine a lot of Browns fans were happy they lost.
For me It has to be The Eagles, and has been ever since they had Randolf Cunningham at quarterback and especially the year when he rushed 942 yards in the season. Amazing for a quarterback.
I see Black Monday didn't disappoint so far. Jets, Broncos, Bengals and Dolphins all fired their coaches today. And so begins the coaching merry-go-round.
