Opening post saying limited tickets remaining. You would think for a freebie in a small venue it would have sold out weeks ago considering our league position. Lots of people cannot be bothered any more. We can't even get 10,000 home fans that often when under Stendel at the same level we did pretty much every game.
Fair shout. I didn't pick up on it (apologies) . I did notice at least 4 that had reserved places didn't attend for one reason or another. As Marc says though, it was well attended. More than I've noticed at some previous meetings. Re the fan figures they've held up reasonably well imo. Relegation will have taken its toll. (As generally happens) Covid as well. People losing the habit. And the cost of living are factors. Not excuses just facts. Some on here if I remember rightly were quoting afore the season started we would be lucky to sell 5k season tickets.
The apathy is real regardless of the current position it’s become tedious following this club in recent times whenever we get any sort of traction the rug is pulled from beneath us it’s honestly no wonder there are zero new fans coming through the door as as soon as they do we plummet. A case in point is championship playoffs to relegation in a single year and even in league one we are scrapping the barrel and will ultimately flog at the earliest opportunity and sadly people know that. Duff even said tonight not was a mess when he walked in but it seems every manager says the same things when arriving here. It pains me to say it but I’m tired of it personally. We’re currently in danger of not even being able to compete in league one financially which is farcical
That tweet wasn't from today though. I just screen shotted the last tweet I saw about it Looks like close to a full house to me
All 160 tickets (free to STH) were snapped up by Monday. Around 25 didn’t turn up for whatever reason. A good turnout and it felt like a really positive evening. Really good to see a lot of familiar faces and have a catch up, even after the event had concluded. There will be some video and written coverage to follow over the coming days.
Whatever the event, some people who booked tickets can't turn up, don't take it to heart. You're doing good stuff, very good, at last. You'll win 'em over.
If they're owt like me Andy. They'll have forgot. Mi mate had to ring me yesterday to remind me lol. Reyt pair us 2. I'm deaf. He's visually impaired and chooses to call us dumb and dumber. Who am I to argue.
Was it the bloke doing a knee slide in his "y" fronts with two Oak leaves sticking out of his crotch that put them off?
It's because the best we can hope for is an apple, orange and stick of f cukin' coyle until these Charlatans in charge (whoever they are) sell up and take the f cukin' Cryne's with em'. They've outstayed their welcome since 2011. If you can't do owt with club. Sell up.
Best post thus far. The clubs a waste of time. Spurs might be 5hite but at least they set out with winning the league as their number 1 aim every season. No matter where they finish the previous campaign. It's winning the league. Avoid relegation in 98. Next season set out to win the league. Can't do that win win the F.A Cup. Lose to Newcastle in Semi-Final. Win the League Cup. The drive is there. I love Spurs but I also love the Premier League for it's drive and ambition. It's a crying shame we went as tourists.
This just isn't true though. Otherwise Collins, Andersen, Williams wouldnt be here. We turned down bids for Helik and Styles until we negotiated better deals. I don't know why people keep saying this Edit - not the relegation obviously. Cant deny that was a major fk up. Although a lot of fans expected us to finish middle of the championship, instead of getting hammered every game. Only a select few saw it coming. Easy enough saying X,Y and Z now in hindsight. Biggest fk up was obviously the management staff and an inept replacement of Mowatt.
