Bizarre thread or OP this. Becoming all too common that the most vocal and negative about the club on here are the ones not going to matches. Not just at the moment, but for quite a while. Imagine calling your fellow supporters mugs because they went to Oakwell after two wins from two home games. In fact, imagine calling them mugs regardless of previous results and solely basing it on the fact that they lost today.
Knee jerk reaction . Just Frustrating seeing our town team struggle. Some of us have seen more struggle than success. Only like the manure calling for the heads of the Glaziers
it is an odd thread. Especially as it seems a lot of people are piling on with equally disrespectful comments as the Opening thread. But these seem to be ok?
Equally? I can see one that returns over the top fire. The way you wrote this it’s as if it’s relentless
Would love to go to Oakwell win lose or draw but domestic circumstances mean I'm not able to go for the foreseeable. I still buy the programme every game via Ignition Media and will always love the club. I would never disrespect anyone still going to watch the Reds, far from it, well done to them As others have posted, to me the match is just part of the experience, meeting mates, family then back into town for a night session or off to Sheffield to meet some of my mates down that way was what I loved doing back in the day Live down in Surrey now and watch 1 non- league game in midweek, now with my partner as she suffers when being alone these days Be thankful we still have a club to support, even if from afar. I know I am
You've hit the nail on the head, i support Reds and Fev Rovers and the one's who moan most are the one's who DON’T go. And try living amongst millions of Leed's ( supporters) the one's who go are fine the one's who don't, i will leave it at that !!!!
Talking of Leeds Utd, there's a load of Leeds fans waiting for coach to go to Helland Road - in Barrow lol,we've come up for Barra / Fev match. Came in May and it was a coach for Man City fan's lol. But they AIN'T glory seekers of course
This. Despite the defeats I’ve been enjoyed the 2 away days more than any match I attended last season at Oakwell. Hoping that health permitting I can carry on enjoying the away days abs fall back in love with my club again
Been thinking the same for months regarding the first paragraph. It reminds me of when I was an apprentice many moons ago. The blokes who didn't go to matches, "the they don't want to go up" brigade used to come looking for you when we had lost and wanted to remind you how bad we were. If the reds had won you wouldn't lay eyes on em for days. I used to seek them out and give em a few rounds of the green green grass of Oakwell song. As the saying goes you pay your money and make your choice.
Definitely the case mate. And there's nothing wrong with that as everyone can (or has to) make their own choices, live their own life, has their own decisions to make or priorities to factor in. But we need to be self-aware that the biggest share of repetitive noise comes from those who aren't at games. Some might say that doesn't matter, but I think it's a big contributing factor as to why the BBS isn't that representative as a whole of the wider fan base.
