Ye. It's got to be a top 15 guy in one of the 3 bodies he has a belt, WBA, IBF & WBO. There's some complete no hopers who get top 15 rankings but it won't be anyone shockingly bad because it'll have to be a good enough opponent for it to be on Sky Box Office & for American TV to pick it up.

His first mandatory challenger should be a guy called Glazkov, probably about the 10th best heavyweight in the world.

Haye would probably need 2 more fights after this De Mori guy in January to be made mandatory challenger, I think Haye might give up again soon anyway. He reckons he's now injury free but he had to pull out or delay about 5-6 fights in the couple of years before he 'retired'.

Congratulations to Furey, but if anything it illustrates the weakness of heavyweight boxing in the world at the moment.

Wilder at Old Trafford to unify, Klitschko in Vegas, Haye at Wembley then Joshua in the UK in 2017. Probably makes as much sense as anything and he'd be minted by the end of it.

Your forgetting one important aspect. If he somehow managed to get past Wilder, Klitschko would probably beat him in a rematch IMO and Haye would most certainly stop him, very early on. If he wanted the really big one he'll dodge anyone half decent (which is what it sounds he will do) until Joshua, that would be huge because everyone would be wanting to see Joshua crowned.

I'm not sure if he'll be allowed a voluntary first you know. Wlad isn't going to get younger or faster, so if he fancies the rematch (which I think he will) then he'll want it as soon as possible. I hope the rematch clause doesn't include Fury having to travel to Germany again.

I wouldn't even speculate beyond that fight. Many champions have come unstuck after shocking the world. The challenge of beating someone as seasoned, experienced, and as good as Wlad a second time is arguably harder than the first. He's been slowing down for a couple of fights but he still had an off day when Fury managed to get everything 100% right. What happens when Tyson drops his level by 10% and Wlad ups his by 20/30%? Will be interesting.

As for not recognising his talent, I don't know many people that didn't think he was a talented boxer. He'd just never proven it against anyone remotely near the top of the rankings. His CV was rightly questioned by all comers, but he proved that when it mattered he could up his game and belong at that level.

Haye will only become a legit option if he gets the WBA Belt from Chaguev. If Fury beats Klitschko again, and then unifies by beating Wilder, that fight becomes too big to turn down.

Imagine Brit vs. Brit for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship, and the winner fighting Anthony Joshua? That scenario would put boxing back on the map for the next decade.

    It's an exciting scene again.

I'm sure I heard Tyson promise Lucas Browne a title shot once he'd beaten Wlad. But isn't Browne fighting Chagaev for the WBA early next year?

I think I'd like to see Wlad over here for the rematch.

Despite being the champ I'm sure Wlad and his team have that rematch clause water tight so any future Fury fight is on their terms (unfortunately). Browne has just hired Nigel Benn as a trainer or advisor and is pencilled in for a title shot next year, but haven't seen anything official. Fury also promised Wilder he'd fight him first once he won, but now he's pretending he doesn't know who Wilder is and doesn't want to talk about him. Mansford esque Spin that is.

Any rematch has to be in the UK. Only fair.

Fury has been retweeting Wilder stuff on twitter. If owt, his conversations/banter with Deontay look to me like he wants that fight. I'd like that too, maybe after he beats Wlad again. Get Wilder over this time next year, take his belt, then take AJ/Haye's (once one of em beats Chagaev/another) for the WBA.

Imagine that. Two brits fighting to be THE champ.

    You're sorting the tickets.

There's no doubt him and Wilder will fight providing neither of them loses their next fight. It's been building ever since Wilder called Fury out after he smashed up Fraudley.

I'll sort tickets. I'd happily put up with you for half a day if it included two Brits scrapping for the biggest prize in boxing ........ you've got to bring Roy though!

There is 0% chance Fury will ever take anything off either Joshua or Haye other than an absolute pasting.

When I think of David Haye I think of a bloke who pulls out of fights. Two against Fury. Not much pasting. Shame though, because at cruiserweight he was something else. I also remember him and Fraudley walking around a ring for three minutes not punching. That was beautiful.

I really like Anthony Joshua and expect him to be a champion in the future. But you couldn't put him in with Fury right now, it'd be silly. But one day? I hope so.

I do see Hughie Fury fighting him or Haye though, watch this space...

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind Joshua would take care of Fury in 2 rounds. And that is right now.

What do you want, Haye to take the fight when he isnt fit to? Injuries happen, everyone knows he's far superior boxer to Fury, has more power and has more experience. Probably better at the mind games too. Id say itd last 6 rounds at the very most.

There's the point - in your mind. In your opinion.

Saying "everyone knows" is untrue, isn't it?

Your opinion only. It might well be shared my many, the majority even, but it's only that, an opinion. And it was always my opinion that Fury would be world champ, when the majority didn't.

I'm not btw, knocking Haye for pulling out of so many fights, or saying he lied or bottled it. But he aid last time it was a career ending injury, yet here he is.....

I'm comfortable with my limited knowledge of boxing and my opinions on fights/fighters.
