What did he say that was wrong Baz?

To be honest, whilst you have some valid points, I ask you this:

What about fans who have been to a number of games this season (home and away in some cases) who live miles from the ground (Colchester for example) but are not season ticket holders due to living so far away? When I say a number I'm talking over a dozen games in total and many thousands of miles covered.

How do they get a ticket if they don't know a season ticket holder?

In my opinion there should be a category for people who hold say a minimum of six match stubs from Oakwell.

This would mean that even less 'glory supporters' took the place of 'real fans' would it not?

So there are plenty of people who can have a gripe with justification.

You'd be moaning if you didn't have your mate in the Ponty.

totally agree with everything you say. 100%

yes a ticket stub thing should be in place every season. and yes I am fortunate with my pal. But I still have to wondr how we play to 9k fans approx eah week....yet at Wembley andthe Millenium 35k + turned out ..GLORY HUNTERS as I said... and its them buggers who are gonna cost the die hards .

    It's an unfortunate thing...

The ideal thing would be that all 9000 or so regulars would get a ticket, then the rest of them went to the glory hunters.

Problem is, probably about 8000-8500 of the regulars will get tickets and because the club aren't doing a ticket stub category 500-1000 or whatever will miss out due to not being able to get to the ground to queue on March 3rd.

If it sells out which surely it will.

    Would agree...

...about there being about 9,000 regulars. But I wouldn't call all the rest glory hunters. There are maybe 3 or 4,000 fans who pick their games. The glory hunters are the Wembley & Cardiff brigade.

You really can be quite obnoxious can't you...

... every time some one disagrees with you you resort to (wnkr) or(asshole) or something similar. It's only an opinion the guy's put forward. I happen to agree with you about the way radio sheffield stir things but please stop being so offensive to people as in my opinion it destroys you credibility.

Just my view but I suppose I'll get a (wnkr) ho hum !!!

Yeah I'm not meaning to be quoting exact figures or owt

The point is that some of those Wembley/Cardiff hangers on will probably get some general sale tickets ahead of regularish fans.

So people who went to one game

Get priority over those who live miles away, therefore not being able to make weeknight games due to work, who have been to 7 or 8 Saturday home games without buying them to try and guarantee a Liverpool ticket?

    Don't agree with that.

    Not that it matters.

    What puzzles me is...

Whenever you buy a ticket from the box office, they ask for your postcode and house number and enter it into the computer, presumably so each ticket is traceable to the person who bought it. What happens to this information? Why can't it be used to show how many games you've been to, thus eliminating the need to produce ticket stubs?
