My mistake. Thought you were talking about members of the EU. Hadn't realised you meant that the countries we were all buggering off to didn't include those that weren't in the Euro. It's still less than 6 quid a pint in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium etc which is what my point was.
Fair enough, though it's not far off in a bar in France. The 6 quid bit isn't really important though, its that the Euro zone is perceived as being a basket case yet our currency is steadily losing value against it. They have wage rises, albeit small, we have none. So not only is the money in your pocket not going so far at home (just wait till the inflation from Quantitative easing kicks in) it's worth even less abroad.
It was true what he was saying about Next in South Elmsall though, they brought in 500 Poles last Summer and 300 this, those jobs could have gone to local people, Barnsley people.
I was referring to people who fall into the C2 group. These traditionally voted Labour but I would argue this group only exists in very small numbers.
I guess you conveniently forgot the part that Next had a surge for the summer sale and couldn't fill it with locals
I doubt they even tried. What did they do when they couldn't bring in people from Central/Eastern Europe?
So much ********. More important to any 'factory owner' is quality of work, quantity of work, communication ability and punctuality/reliability.
