    Possibly

OK then put V H at right back and move Foster inside. Strike force would be better than anything we have now though.

I didn't make the game, but from the feedback I've had since Saturday there's no need for the doom and gloom merchants to be out just yet, as the reason for the loss was simple, we didn't stick it in the onion bag!

Colace will prove to be the best player since Craig Hignett, I have no doubt about it!

    No doom and gloom

we need 18 points from what 19 games? Should piss that.

I don't think Colace is in the same mould as Hignett

    Best all round footballer?

    Really?

I like Colace, I think he's a good defensive midfield player and I'm glad we have him in our sqaud, but I think that description is over egging in some what. I'd expect the best all round footballer to score goals, create goals and beat a man. Colace breaks up play and uses the ball well, but he's shown no sign of the other attributes I think a player requires to gain such a title. I really don't want to dis him as I like him as a player, but lets not pretend he's something he's not.

As an aside, since Colace has been out, Hassell has performed every bit as well as Coalce in a similar position and I don't think anyone would claim Bobby to be the best all round footballer we've had for years. Good players both, but they require players with skill, pace and an eye for goal at the side of them for their talents to shine.

    Completely different player to Hignett

But I think he'll prove to be just as valuable over the next 2 years (or 18 months).

The doom and gloom comment wasn't aimed at you, just in general.

I saw enough glimpses against West Ham, Doncaster, and Wednesday (virtually half the games I've been to!) that suggest he can beat players, I just don't think he finds himself in the position that he needs to.

He does creat chances too, however as our strikers are unable to finish them he never gets credited with any assists, but all our players are in the same boat with that one!

Ok, I might have over egged it slightly, but in terms of players in our squad past and present, I really like this guy. He's also got a decent shot on him, and I think playing 35-40 games over a season he would chip in with 5 or 6 goals, which for a defensive midfielder wouldn't be bad.

RE: Prior to the last few games

Colace hadn't started since Wolves away on 13 Dec. Before then he had been looking pretty good. He had a couple of not so good games in the games before he was suspended and injured. I wouldn't say bad enough to be criticised though. He has been a top signing. A great find by SD, on the cheap too.

Its not affecting Souza. But the cold weather could be something to do with it. They should all be working that bit harder to keep warm. I am sure they are all genuine problems though. Anderson had an infection in his foot so it could have made the wound a bit of a mess and would take longer to heal, even with antibiotics. There could also have been some bruising that has taken a while to get out. The others are muscles I think, not much you can do about that other than wait for it to heal. I haven't seen anything to suggest they don't want to be here.

I'd forgotten about Souza. He's been out as well.

He was only out for 1 week though. He was back in the squad the week after.

    Back to Germany?

You'd think if that were the case they'd just have gone there from Switzerland instead of coming here.
