    Clearly decided he was off

    Old ground

One things for sure, he's been certainly present in a number of similar capitulations to the Norwich game in the previous seasons.

Get two wingers working with two decent strikers and I'm sure Colace/Anderson/Hassell/Leon are more than capable IMHO.

All good points but the fact is no one can fill the void left by Brian Howard, a driving midfielder is as important as a striker right now.

RE: A few bad games this season and everyone forgot how good Howard had been for years

    Me neither

And we will struggle to find someone to score as many goals as he did last season - striker or midfielder

Don't think his departure is the reason for Anderson's poor performances of late - he is just so careless on the ball and his passing is terrible

No idea why though but it disappoints me and angers me as he will be one of the best paid players at the club

Personally I'd like to see a central midfielder capable of scoring goals

I don't mean 20 a season or anything like that, just getting on to double figures. I think we'll always struggle without one and I think De Silva needs that kind of player along side to get the best out of him. Colace too I suspect.

    I agree

JCR is chipping in thoug (for now), Devaney is capable when fit. If we at least we were more willing to have a shot, goals might be forthcoming.

    I don't rate Anderson.

    There I've said it.

He gives the ball away far far too often and is very sloppy.

He did it on occassion last season and it annoyed me. He does it even more since he returned from his injury.

A defensive midfielder should get stuck in and play it simple, not fanny about with it and give the ball away. Colace better imho in that role.
