    From the way you post...

...it sounds like you don't want any f.cking player at the club unless he's an established international with Premiership experience.

    Oh, wait......

Andranik is a good player - we didn't see the best of him at Oakwell. The problem is he's not what we need - which is a replacement for Brian Howard.

What we could do is bring in Andranik and ship out Colace

Adam doesn't want to join, Clingan is signing for Cov and Bailey is too expensive.

Need to look past these three mate.

perhaps should have sold Anderson while the offer was there.

    and sign adranik.

Ideally I would love Adam and Colace as a pair.

That was 3 years ago. And used as a figure of speech when talking about Chopra.

You think Nick Bailey would be a 'box office' signing?

    You're barmy.

Is Adam that good? There is a reason why he is being linked with Blackpool and not any of the top clubs in the Championship.

    RE: On this assessment

Yep we definetely do need another Central Midfielder, but not another Defensive one such as Andranik. We should be looking at signing Charlie Adam and i'm glad that Davey look's to be back in for him. If Andranik did sign then i've got a horrible feeling he'll play all 3 to keep them happy. If Adam does sign then i'd leave Colace on the bench and play Adam alongside Anderson and put De Silva back to his usual role and let Adam dictate the Attacking play - hopefully the same as the Anderson and Howard Central pair 2 years ago - worked wonders.

But i agree that needing quality throughout means leaving faviourites on the bench then so be it, at least we have competition for place then.

RE: Biggest load of crap I've read in ages

JCR had a 100% success rate from the spot before that Forest game he had not missed any penalties.
Wednesday H scored, Swansea away scored, Plymouth H scored.
According to you then if a player wins a penalty he should take it, therefore if Darren Moore goes up for a corner and gets shoved in the back you'd want him stepping up from 12 yards?
JCR was our designated penalty taker, he had not missed before, he had just scored a good header a few minutes before, so he was the man to take that one. He missed partly because he was distracted by some poxy on loan defensive midfielder who's barely scored a goal in his life somehow thinking he was entitled to be a penalty taker.
It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen, if that's "passion" he can keep it.
The rest of his performances showed that he was no better than the defensive midfielders we already had at the club, hence he spent the final few matches on the bench. FACT.

£2m is too much for us mate. Box Office or not.

Surely that would make him our biggest transfer ever. He's not worth that after 1 season in the championship.

Yes, if DM had MOM performance, went on mazy run, won a pen + wanted to take it... can't see it tho!

I'm not saying every player who wins a pen should take that penalty, no way......... that would be stupid!

What I'm saying is that IMO if a player is playing extremely well in that particlar match (as Andro was against Nottingham Forrest) and they create an opportunity from nothing for themselves and get fouled when they are clean though on goal and win a penalty............... Andranik was our stand out player and rightly won MOM. He won the ball from the opposition, beat two defenders and was chopped down in the area. If Defender hadn't taken him down he may have score the goal to cap off his MOM performance, and IMO he had right to feel aggrieved (a little over the top maybe). He was pumped up and playing full of confidence that day, and I had every faith in him scoring from the spot... not to mention the fact that regular penalty taker wasn't having the best of games, he looked tired, frustrated playing in unfamiliar central role and hadn't scored for some several matches. IMO JCR should have stepped aside, and SD should have allowed to cap off his MOM performance with a goal.

Lets be honest it is unlikley that Moore will be in that position or have confidence to take penalty, but many others same would apply......... For example if Foster was playing out of his skin, and created several opportunities then went on to win a pen and wanted to take I'd would let him.

    RE: It gets better

So JCR hadn't scored for several matches?
I think you'll find he'd scored about 10 minutes earlier!!!!!!!!!

RE:The Club will always be Poor and Mundane

While Simon Davey is in charge , despite what the MINORITY of people on here who thinks he should acheive his goal of getting Barnsley relegated 75% of fans want him out, just like me so the likes of fans who complain about the club can see the negativity of Patrick cryne and the club keeping Davey in charge, and its not what the fans want.
