Dont let pre season fool you, we need a striker and fast, if not come Jan then it will be the same old story.</p>

And if we could find a strong lad who can both hold the ball up and find the net, we'd have a partnership on our hands.
We have lots of forwards on the books but I still struggle to pick a front 2 that works.

With Gray rumoured to be on 20k he may be willing to take a wage cut to join a Championship side such as Barnsley.

Stead will probably see Barnsley as a step down and may ask for more money/money around the figure he's on now to sign him.

 

From what I know the hold up in signing gray is down to Charlton giving him som kind of payoff.

 

I said that a while ago, he may be wanting a pay off to bump up the money.

Is he expecting it from the investers who are to takeover Charlton?
