Re: Craig Davies has also been great for us

    My actual quote was this...

"Probably in the minority here but l think the only thing Davies can do is put the ball in the net, which we want him to do. His touch, control and general ball work is terrible, he doesn't do half the work Vaz Te puts in for the team, but he's got 9 goals."

    I apologise, mate

I didn't mean to misquote you and shouldn't have done it. However, I stand by everything else I posted. In my opinion, Craig Davies has been a successful signing. He's not above criticism (no player is, including Andy Gray), but I'm prepared to cut the lad some slack on his all round play, because of the step up in class that's been made and the fact he's scoring so many goals. If that means I'm 'creaming' over him, so be it. Perhaps I'd be better dishing out over the top criticism of our players.

Anyone thats got 9 goals at this stage has been a good signing, the point l was trying to make was that a lot of our supporters are quick to get on the back on Gray whilst at the same time heaping praise on Davies.

    Davies 17 app (5 sub) 9 goals 4 assists
    Gray 13 app (5 sub) 6 goals 4 assists

    I agree 100%

Once again, mate, I apologise for misquoting and, as it happens, misunderstanding you.

    20 in 77 at Bradford
    1 (yes 1) in 64 at Forest

Make of that what you will.

He's a decent laiker. And if Davies could hold the ball up like him, he would be a Premier League striker.
I would pick Davies over Gray 9 times out of 10. But against certain opposition, he's more than useful. I had a feeling King Keith would go with Gray at the Kung-Fu Panda. He dominated Mills at Oakwell, so it made sense. Plus, Davies needed a rest. Id go with Davies against Millwall though... competition up top eh? Who'd have thunk it?

21 year old at Forest, 20 in 77 at Bradford during 2002-2004 when they finished 6th from the bottom 02/03 and were relegated in 03/04, not a bad return in a bad team.

He was 25 when he left. That strike rate is Special Kay-esque and to be honest is indefensible.

Don't think he played up front at Forest did he? Started as a midfielder.

Looking at those stats I assumed they played him as a 'Keeper.
