It was highlighted in his column.

They were blowing 5 mins into the 2nd half, after a not particularly end to end 1st half either.

I hadn't read it. I must admit Johnson and Devaney looked particularly shagged towards the end of their respective games...

He is a good player but we didn't see the best of him because there was no overlap for him, Souza just stayed back rather than allowing him that one-two overlap.

Thought Johnson looked good, sort of no nonsense midfielder we've needed for a while.

Well we have got this lot for the next 2or 3 years, i hope he can mould them into a decent team. Got their contracts, and their work permits. I think most of them will be sleeping peacefully tonight. :)

Both had worked hard and Dev was all over the place tackling back etc.

A few near us were having a go near the end saying the players looked tires, as my mate said - it was a hot day, first match and they were 2 down (at the time), trying to chase the game and the ball down, players do seem to be hit by fatigue more when they are chasing the game.

Glad I didn't come on here last night if this was the sort of threads we had - FFS will people just back off and give the team a few games to settle and get to know each other?!

Agreed, mate - a disappointing result, admittedly, and a sorry way to start the season but surely, I thought, too early for even the Barnsley Boo Boys to make a start getting on the team's back.

    Alas, not...

A great deal of positives to be taken out of the performance and some, albeit scattered, examples of what the majority of the new signings have to offer.

I agree with you about Johnson mate. Steady i though on saturday. Souza thought was playing out of position. Cleary in my eyes a center half. Played at left back to accomodate reid. who isn't good enough.
