exactly. Only seen the team play in all competitive games this season but one . I'll make my own judgements. I can who the top players are. Not what it says on some site. Because of course Kyle McFadzean's a better player than Jamaal Lascelles And of course Matt Ritchie, Jonjo Shelvey and Chancel Mbemba aren't in the top 10 players in the league.
I agree at first he looked nervous on the ball, but on Saturday he looked very composed. He's given the ball away a couple of times which luckily haven't been capitalised upon, but he's looked better and better when I've seen him. It's not as if Mawson never gave the ball away, and Roberts does from time to time
When I heard that we had signed a centre half from Torquay I was expecting to see a big immobile lump , instead we get this young, lean, fit and hungry young man . To jump seamlessly from conference to the championship is like being 12 years old at school and playing with the 16 year olds. If some club offered 1m for him now I'd say no . Would you ?
Id snatch their hand off and inform the doping agency someone at that club is severely testing the system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have you not told us all before that statistics are important and that what is says on football manager is an accurate way to judge football players?
Succinctly and well put. I think MacDonald looks ok no more or less and he does make me nervous in possession but at the same time he isn't in BfJ's class.
I cannot believe that a thread started with the intention of praising a good performance has been hi jacked by so many negative posters. Wonder if they would be saying the same if he came from manchester united academy or if he was born in barnsley, or he was more comfortable on the ball but not as good at defending...... Probley not. I think he has done well from what I've seen of him and like already pointed out we have conceded less without alfie Mawson.
We have replaced a 5 million pound player with a 100 k player , he is getting better game by game, and can become as good as Roberts in time
Id be saying the exact same as I am now, that he isnt anywhere near ready to be playing in our first team on such a regular basis. Regardless of where they come from, I withhold any judgement until I've seen them play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
