Seems to me that she's a great example to be honest.

    You ignorant idiot.

Id get your facts right before you open your fat dumb mouth.......

Im a temp employed through Select - im not employed directly by the Environment Agency. I dont have any protected salary, im actually on a wage of £6.50 per hour. I get the legal minimum of days holiday and if Im sick or a bank holiday comes round I either take a days holiday or I dont get paid. Since ive been here I've not had more than 3 consecutive days off - which is now in 3.5 years. Hardly the cushy little job you rather stupidly jump to the conclusion Im on. For every 4 weeks I work, I 'lose' over 2 weeks of pay on rent and bills. Thats before I buy any food and consider what I might do that doesn't involve spending money I dont have.

To top it off they spent the last year telling me Id be given a contract as it was costing them money to employ me, that would have given me full sick pay and extra holidays - in the end they told me 4 weeks ago that id be out of a job at Christmas. So after the 23rd of December im unemployed - very cushy eh?

You can apologise in your own time, but I fear you''re two cowardly to do so.....knobhead.

    Teddy out. Touched a nerve?

So he got it wrong about your job. The rest still stands up. "You are a joke man. How easy is it to critisise others when you do sod all yourself. Risk takers go out of there way to set up companies, work their ****** off to get a reasonable standard of living for their families - and a lot more families besides, while you sit there telling everybody what tossers they are."

    RE: 'Sweeping generalisation'?

Barbed comment? I actually said it was good she had done this and if only more companies put their millions back into society things would be better - but you chose to ignore that part. The only thing I mentioned was what Eaststander had said further up the thread that her husband still had £50m in the bank. However if you want me to play your game this was the same woman who said that most of her health and beauty products were actually pretty crap and pointless and she couldnt understand why people bought them.

I have no problem with people working hard and earnign money - my Dads Dad was a miner in Barnsley and my Mums Dad was a farmer in Wakefield. Neither well off by any stretch but they've done alright for themselves. I just feel its pointless in a company like HSBC earning £12bn profit and keeping it to themselves when they could do far better things with it. I dont claim to be perfect but I try my best and hopefully Ill be doing something other than annoying pillocks like you next year when Ive SAVED the money I need to go away and do some things that I thinkare important.

Still, you keep judging me, its easier than you enagaging your brain, eh?

LOL I might have known you'd pop up. If you say im 'a joke' it must make you 'beyond a joke' for following me round the board having a pop - you really dont have anything better to do do you? Why not take up basket weaving or something.

If you do ever actually get round to doing something other than bleating on here pick somewhere that doesn't have the internet and I'll pay your fare.

You could say plenty things about Acky

But to call him a joke ffs!

I have my spats with him, but half the time I just like winding him up.

He's got principles and stands by them, even if you don't agree with what he says (which I often don't) you still have to respect that,

The fact that you've resorted to downright abuse just shows you've lost the argument, I might be wrong but I don't think I've ever resorted to just downright abuse.

    RE: 'Sweeping generalisation'?

How kind of you, over the last 3.5 years Ive been saving money up so I can do something that's important. Im off to spend some time in India working for a volunteer organisation for a while, then im off to photograph some of the areas affected by the tsunami as well as various other things Ive researched that I feel people should know about. Ill also be going on a photjournalist course whilst in India. Im also doing a TEFL course so I can teach children English whilst im doing all this. Not good money, but worthwhile im sure even you'll agree.

Leave your e-mail address and Ill send you the details so you can write the cheque out.........

I was thinking of doing something similar,

with respect to doing a TEFL course and doing some volunteer work in Asia.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers Eaststander. I dont claim to be perfect far from it, I just to try and get people to think, engage brain and try and see the world in a different way....I certainly mean no harm to anyone.

    As Tolstoy once said,
    Hey, im trying.........

    *shrugs*

Not much use to you (you're abroad right?) but they do a training course in Leeds at the Hilton Hotel most months.

I think most business people who earn a lot of money come from money, therefore not so much of a risk. And I know plenty of people who work very hard without owning their own company.
