That's a right load of ********. I'm just basically sick of us changing managers / players every 18 months. It's not got us got us far previously.

PS Wilson in. Nowt to do with what he's done in the past for us. Just think this is the course we have to take now. Sometimes things get worse before they get better.

So why now? Why on the 17th appointment and not the 16th? One word - nostalgia.

It's really not, not for me at least. But if they get beaten away again this weekend, I think the pressure to sack him will be off the scale.

If we had brought Michael Appleton in, would you have given him the same leeway?

Because I don't think we would find a better equipped manager to do what needs doing at Oakwell. Nowt to do with nostalgia, careful what you wish for. Grass isn't always greener etc.

Can't imagine being much browner. If we can't find someone to do a better job than Wilson is doing then there really is no hope for us.

I get people not being happy I don't think you find any BFC fan that is right now. What a difference a week makes though.

Tbh can see us getting beat on Sat by Crawley following them getting hammered at home last night.

Just be a case of starting this whole process again under more new managers coaches etc that we can't afford then them probably wanting to make changes to the playing staff ethos all that shabazz. Let's get Nicky Eaden in.

I couldn't stand Flitcroft, but I backed him and didn't want him sacked.

Skeletor would have seen me watching Huddersfield full time.

That's a hypothetical question though because we didn't. All I can say is that for me I want Wilson simply because I'm fed up with managerial change. I happen to like Danny because of what he did for us but that has no relevance to the here and now. Not for me anyway.

If we are relegated to L2 (which I dont think we will) does that then completely rub out the fact he took us to the PL or will he never be able to do wrong for some?

We won't be relegated but if we were it wouldn't erase history nor does his history exempt him from criticism. The two things just aren't linked in my opinion.

I for one will always be grateful for what danny brought to the table the last time he was here. That said the man is like any other in this result based industry, his job is on the line should he not deliver the desired results.
In his defence he will know that many are not happy and yes i agree his excuses if you can call them that are predictable and are becoming thin after each loss.

However if his instructions are just to make sure we dont go down this year and to finish mid table then the club wont be complaining, nor will they be taking notice of any polls on wilson in or out.

Danny as gone on record as saying hed like a top 6 finish......i cant recall anyone from the club saying that that is ouraim...ive said in previous threads that i think we are working to a 3year plan before we attempt to go back up.....i hope im wrong.....but i dont think i am.

I also believe that the club are willing to give him that length of time to carry out the job in hand

who ever is in charge will only have the same instructions that danny is working to.
The football may be bad at times and not nice to watch but if hes under instruction then changing manager may be good to appease certain parts of the crowd but realistically the next bloke in is not going to be allowed to change direction of the said plans that are already in place.
better the devil we know, and lets face it if the club are happy then no matter what we say or do will change their minds.

for the record i voted in....no im not happy with the state of play but changing manager now is not the way forward

Ive never been one for getting rid of managers, stability is a very underrated thing in modern day football but I don't see anything that points to long term improvement. Wilson seems to be tactically all over the place and a lot of the players aren't good enough, and not just that, dont seem like they have the ability to be good enough down the line.

Re: it can get as close as yer like

Agree with that, mostly. I think there must be a teeny element of the fact that it is DW is buying him more time and patience but the basic essence is right - we are mostly all sick of changing managers and desperately want him to turn it around. To be honest, that sums up how I feel - if it was still Flicker in charge and we were turning in these performances then I am sure I'd be in the "out" camp, so there must be an element of stick with it 'cos its DW. In fact I know I would be in the "out" camp because I was at the time we got rid of him - never been more pleased to see a manager leave. But I honestly can't give you a rationale explanation why I want to stick with DW any more, apart from the fact that I don't want any more change. So stick with him I continue to do.
