I know mate, but I thought your point was he should have stepped down during pre season and all I meant was that wouldn't have gone down well

I think he should have done. My example was meant to highlight he was a loose canon and had lost the plot. That decision came from nowhere and was rash in my view. Not the decision of a Head Coach who was thinking straight.

I hear you, but it was more than 1/3 way through a season after a relatively good start. There was no way of knowing what was going to happen, no one has a crystal ball. I just think losing Hecky during pre season would have been rash from either side that season.

Did he have his head turned before January though? Did he not get on with the new owners? All other factors to consider

I just think there were factors that came into play that contributed to the 17 match winless run which ultimately relegated us. Like you say nobody has a crystal ball but he wasn't the same after January 17.

I didn’t, I was responding to the post which said they’d rather have morais than Coleman.

I wouldn’t want Coleman myself - but I’d take him over having Morais back.

I always though Coleman did a good job with Fulham. The previous manager & the one after spent fortunes but he spent barely anything & kept them up year after year.

I don’t hold the Sunderland job against anyone, everyone fails there. It’s become the new Leeds job.
