My take on tonight.......For the first time i can remember (not derby) we were the better side. First half the midfield of gomez benson and tbe new lad looked well. Williams had a good game and so did vita. Just that finish .....even though Cole did ok, we just dont do goals. Cardiff totally "old manned" us but on the whole well done....played much much better.
Probably under strict instructions to play him as seen as a saleable asset. After all that’s our reason for existence now, not getting 3 points.
I’m not sure I disagree with you. It’s disappointing we’re here. I think I’ve made this point before but based on budget etc we are probably not far off where we should be. I understand everyone can quote an example of a team who (might) have spent less than us and are doing better but they are few and far between and I would guess in the long run they’ll end up where we are. Im also sure a lot of people advocating signing players with championship experience are the same who would suggest they want us to be self sufficient/not be signing the kind of players just looking for a last pay cheque and were the same ones lauding Conway for criticising the cheats for spending too much. I completely get that they’ve taken 750k of our money to pay for they club which is completely wrong but other than that I would suggest they are broadly running the club the way most people wants it to be run (to not be running up debts/sustainable) but what people don’t like is the fact we’re losing. Obviously no one likes that but is it not a reflection of where we are? I’m not being defeatist or “little old barnsley” about it I’m not sure what the alternative is.
