    Of all the people I know/have met/seen...

    Not a Law Expert "yet"

But driving offences are looked upon very strongly at the moment, and particularly when they involve injury to a pedestrian by an illegal driver. I'd say she could be in big trouble if they throw the book at her with a prison sentence of 3 years +.

Bit of practice before I start my degree in a couple of weeks. hehe.

    hey, Sue...

I'm in no way condoning what the stupid young lady did...I was just curious as to what punishment she may be looking at.

I think a long prison sentence is on the books, that wouldn't surprise me.

She has been an idiot, and should pay for what she's done.

Something similar happened down here about a month ago..

Remember the Market Cross we went past when we went to the pub in the village? Two women, one pregnant and the other with a baby in a pram, were standing by it when a useless piece of ******* ****, smacked out of his worthless brain and p1ssed as a rat, who was waiting for his mate outside the Spar, decided to nick his mate's car and take it for a spin. Knocked down the 2 lasses, pram dragged along under car, emergency caesarian..... Sentencing this week I believe. It'll be interesting to see what happens as his sister is training to be a WPC and is being "helped" by a local WPC (ALLEGEDY (just in case!)). He has got out of a couple of other "scrapes" with the law and some are suggesting that there are strings being pulled.

    NO criminal charges?

against a man that commited manslaughter? death by dangerous driving? driving while under the influence? Speeding?

And people wonder why the worlds so fecked up. Every drugs offence should carry a prison sentance and so should ever case of dangerous driving

So someone smoking a bit of hash should be sent to prison? Why? In what way are they a danger to society to the point that they have to be put behind bars?

    I agree with AM.

All drug users should be sent to prison - even the one off hash smokers.
''In what way are they a danger to society to the point that they have to be put behind bars?'' I hear you cry.
Simple - they take important resources from 24 hour garages which are meant for our heroic long haul drivers, usually when they get the 'munchies'.

    I think you'll find I'm right.

And we should lock up anyone who owns a Meatloaf album.
I think if you did a survey - you'd find out that every single Maetloaf fan has broken the law at some point ... so they should be locked away, possibly for their entire super-sad lives.
