Well, the fans CERTAINLY don't know more than the manager

However, he has to convince them to buy into what he is trying to achieve - some thing that SD failed to do in his time at the club. Personally, I think SD "played around" with the formations because he was trying to find more goals from midfield (JCR in particular) - after all he to compensate for the loss of Hume & Howard...

There is NOTHING at all wrong with 4-1-4-1, but if the results are not coming, the public will ALWAYS clamour for 4-4-2. If that doesn't work, I still don't think that the managers job is any more secure....

Untimately, it's the results that matter (not the formation).
