It’s a easy fix, and the parts are readily available for about £30 on the net. Don’t you fancy having a go yourself?
It's so easy even a goat can do it. Tip. After disconnecting the power supply, removing the cover inside the back of the oven, unscrewing the element's holding screw, easing the element forward and then disconnecting the wires that feed it... Don't let the wires fall back through the hole and into the back of the cooker! There might not be much wire to play with and it can be tricky getting them out again. I'm sure you won't do that though. Only stupid people do stuff like that. And goats.

Quick update, as a household we have managed to buy the right size screwdriver, undo the screws and order the part!
Excellent work, and you’ve got the screwdriver now for your next adventure. That’s how it begins you know!
A quick update, team redhelen had now replaced heating element and oven is working again! Thanks for all the advice.
