I was sort of aware of this in the background but hoped it wasn't true. I want Danny as manager regardless of division he's the first manager I've trusted since Robins. I didn't expect miracles or him to keep us up just that we became more competitive and cut out some of the deadwood both of which have been achieved. If Danny wasn't yr manager in the league below I'd question the sanity of the board at Oakwell and myself for continuing to attend.

 

Micky M might be a decent bloke, but he retains a link with the "really special people" era and it was a mistake to retain him after Danny was appointed, in my view. In support of that view, Danny seems to be struggling to turn around the losing mentality he inherited from the Hillcroft period.

 

Sure Danny said at the Open evening that he was here for the long haul.

Don't expect him to leave even if we go down. Probably would restructure his staff though.

Bring back Nicky Eadon as asst?

 

Bring Eaden back as a player. And Barnard.

 

I suspect you are right with that. The exact terms of his new long-term contract could depend on which league we are playing in next year. As will the budget for assistants, etc.
