Have you read the 5 page report?

there is no evidence of thousands of ticketless Liverpool fans turning up shoving to get in.

people in Public authoritive positions get well paid for their responsibilities. They shouldn't treat peoplelike theses families were treated.

The job of a proper investigation is to find out what, how,why it happened and make recomendations. The families of the 96 don't deserve this treatment.

Re: Policing broke down, not end of, Typical Tory cover up.

Your claim that thousands of ticketless fans turned up shoving to get in are based on what exactly? I suggest you read the link further up about the reporting around this that was largely based on myths. lies etc.

As for a scapegoat, people in charge of policing/safety failed, why?
is it too much to ask for a report or enquiry. Why weren't things allowed into the public domain?

Is it a 'sad fact that thousands of ticketless Liverpool fans turned up in their thousands shoving to get in? This is one of the myths that was talked about in the speech that Kanecat posted.

People were in charge of policing/safety they get well paid for being in these authoritive positions, are you saying none of these are accountable for what happened?

The only thing the victims did wrong was to turn up to early to make sure they got the best view.

But do people really want the full facts or just the facts that prove SYP to be entirely to blame and not one Liverpool fan to have a shred of accountability. This seems to be the definition of justice or closure to me.

    Yes, people want the truth

All we seem to have is lies, cover ups, media sensationalism etc etc.

I believe families of the bereaved will get some form of closure when they are in receipt of the full facts of what happened that day. For, far too long they have been denied this.

I remember the Stoke game well, missed our goals too as I remember. Anyway back to topic, I do agree that the whole truth should come out but I dont want to see a witch hunt coming from it.

    Re: **** me

I've no wish to read or hear anything further about the disaster. It was my hope long ago that all concerned could have found a way to deal with it and move on, particularly those poor souls who lost loved ones, and who will now never achieve peace and closure, regardless of how many reviews/enquiries we keep throwing at this. Would I be right in thinking that if we're to accept the arguments over those details/findings which it is now suggested were lies, that this will perhaps completely exonerate all Liverpool fans and condemn plod? If so mission accomplished, whether it's the truth or not.

If you've no wish to further educate yourself

then please desist from repeating factually incorrect information. It serves no purpose other than to highlight your ignorance.

    Re: **** me

The Lord Justice Taylor Report has already exonerated the fans and blamed the disaster on a number of complex factors relating to the ground, a focus on public order at the expense of public safety and the incompetence of senior police officers.

This is about establishing who was involved in falsely blaming the fans in the aftermath, which is the single most important factor that has prevented those who lost loved ones gaining closure.

Re: If you've no wish to further educate yourself

Firstly a minor point, there's no need to get abusive because I happen to disagree with your position. The irony of doing that while calling me ignorant may be lost on you.

Secondly, I fail to see how reading/accepting the latest in a long line of varying opinions on a subject where, as with most such matters, the truth is probably now hidden forever somewhere in the middle ground, makes yours the definitive view.

    Firstly, I haven't been abusive

Secondly, it's not 'my view' but the view of the Lord Justice Taylor Report, which has been in the public domain for over 20 years.

I agree with Tyrone, let sleeping dogs lie. 22 years and they still cant come up with a verdict. Terrible tragedy but lets just leave it be now.

thats the whole point if you read all the posts. There isn't a verdict because they wont release all the evidence.they've sommat to hide no danger.
