I don't harbour any fears about Hecky walking when I read things like this. How lucky we are to have a Manager who approaches the job as a true fan.? For me , the time is fast approaching where hopefully we are able to put the foot on the brakes regarding flogging our best assets, loosen the purse strings a wee bit more, let him build the side he wants and see how far that takes us. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news...om-could-follow-mccarthy-s-template-1-8697390
I agree to a certain degree JC. To my mind we sold Bree and Mawson because we were offered very good money. Of the others , our hand was forced in a way because Winnall and Hourihane ( like Yiadom) knew they could earn more elsewhere and Scowen and Watkins for the same reason, chose to reject new offers and walked. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but technically like others, I still truly believe that if the Club had got their contracts right ( which it didn't) after we were promoted, five of the seven might still have been with us. Alas we will never know.!
