I've no idea what you're on about now, so I'll leave it.

But just to reiterate one more time - nobody is sticking up for the bloke who was throwing punches at police. Not one poster. Not media. Not the dodgy solicitor that you decided was. Nobody. He just be arrested and punished, and locked up.

If it was in some countries assaulting police who are firearms officers you would have bullets in you. Brought it on himself I've little sympathy I've been to the airport 100s of times and never been kicked by the police. Like I say not much sympathy for wrong ens.

The family solicitor looked dodgy to me had we want to claim written all over it. And the 2 wrong ens either side looking sheepish while he said how scared of the police they now are and traumatised.

I would'nt pi55 on a policeman if he was on fire, thats a saying i've heard many, many times lately, i can understand people reacting the way they do, personally i've got no reason to dislike or av resentment for the Police but then again i abide by the laws of the land and av a bit of respect for the boys in blue. The Police av had a few ups an downs in recent yrs but where would we be without them.

I was referring to the questioning of a posters profession in this thread.

Get what you saying, but how’s he still walking streets after what is obvious evidence. That is the trouble with our country pal, and this is not racist but I could guarantee that if he was white British he would have been locked up by now. But because of risking racial tensions I believe that is the reason he ain’t. I might be wrong but don’t think I am. Good night mate and hope I haven’t offended

Surprise surprise, there's some race ******** lurking under the surface.

You think if he was white there'd have been a trial and conviction within a few days?

This statement is quantifiably racist. Doesn't matter if you meant it maliciously or not. You are making a judgement on consequences for actions based on skin tone and not offering any evidence. That's racism and I suggest you withdraw the statement.

Not withdrawing anything mate, my judgement is that I believe the reason people haven’t been locked up is because it would raise racial tensions, that’s no way a call for me being racist

Btw pal, I have mixed race relations and they don’t view me as a racist and they know me a little bit better than you do.

China’s authoritarian government clearly has serious down sides, the point is that I bet a lot of people here would put up with more surveillance and punishments for criminals if it meant a safer place to live. Maybe a better example is Singapore? Has one of the lowest rates of crime in the world, one of the highest levels of public surveillance and breaking the law comes with serious consequences.

I’m sure some innocent people, or at least people who might not have been directly involved in violence have ended up in prison in El Salvador- but that happens here as well don’t forget - the law and the application of it is not above getting things wrong.
I predict the officer gets sacked and a suspended prison sentence. The rat who broke the women’s nose is getting 5 years for GBH. Wonder if he’ll also get charged for attacking his own mother in the melee? I see people were trying to pin that on the police as well.

    Based on what?

Because without, evidence, context or precedent... It's just a judgement based on skin colour. Which is racist.

Why even bring "I could guarantee that if he was white British" into it?

Oh yeah it's a **** storm. Made much worse by the copper but I'm not defending. The scrote or his mates. By all reports the police were there responding to 2 previous violent incidents with other members of the public. These were not pleasant people.. or at least people behaving in a despicable manner. However cold blooded boots to the head are just not my cup of tea.

I don't know what happens to the copper but it sounds like Burnham is working hard to protect him as best he can. I suspect he gets in trouble but the punishment ends up him being removed from frontline duty and stuck behind a desk.

I'm just glad the guy is relatively unharmed. Can you imagine what would have happened if he'd killed him or caused a serious brain injury? There's be more than a few loud protestors outside a cop shop.
