I see no logic to the continued existence of AFC - and you have not changed my mind in any way.
So - let's get this straight - your aim is to get to a level where all your fans desert you to watch BFC? Is that right. Yep - that makes sense.

The threats of legal action are interesting too.
You sound like a certain other AFC person who posts on this board who threatened me with the same type of thing for having a pop at him.

correct, he was released so therefore a free agent, as for the alleged mr Hancock was it tony or nick ?. So unless i,m mistaken anyone can hire the facilities at Oakwell and put the funds into our club instead of other places like Dot Hymans.

 

I saw this program on the TV

the other night about a business and business deals. a man on it said that sometimes they merje or do takeovers. maybe the idea is that afc barnsley and the super red tykes merje after afc barnsley have gone through all of these pyramids and are in the championship. that might be the idea why the super red tykes are giving all their academy stars to the afc's so the afc's get really good and shoot through the leagues. then they will be merjed into afc super barnsley red afc tykes super team FC or A.S.B.R.A.T.S FC and then get promoted to the premiership with Richard Carrington scoring 40 goals and Mick Colgan saving lots of penalties through the season.

its just a thought.

probably knowing full well I live in London!

I have to say, when we were deep in admin, a big part of me wanted us (BFC!) to make a stand against so-called "football debts" that had to be paid before the laundry ladies, etc. £8k/week to Sheron? £5k to Dire? (plus £900/goal...AND he's the penalty taker?)

so what if we'd been chucked out of the lge. We'd have risen again, albeit under a different company. Or I would like to think so - this club is fairly well supported for the town's size...ignoring this 200,000 pop nonsense that includes towns near Sheffield!

The council (nevermind our well off fans) would not have allowed Oakwell to be dismantled for housing, etc. The council are not THAT thick that they don't realise BFC's value to the town. Hence why they came on board with Cryne to buy the land.

Anyway, pure conjecture. I respect those of you who made a stand and put your money and efforts where your mouths are. And even more so if following the Oakwell regime change, some or all of you are back at Oakwell too. Shame you miss our away games (the atmosphere p***es on anything at Oakwell!)

and also i think you know which mr hancock i am talking about. is it libellous to say that somebody claiming to be him (and being widely acknowledged as being him) claimed to fund afc barnsley himself.

ie, AFC pay for the hire. If you;re criticising anyone here, surely it's BFC. The fact is they're (AFC) not a rival.

In Italy, I believe Juve have been known to play home games at the bottom end of the country where many of their gloryhunting fans live*. So teams down there mnust be hiring out THEIR ground to their possible detriment (as it encourages support of Juve). This is not a similar case to BFC/AFC.

*cos as we know from telly, they get about 7000 in the Champs Lge once they've nowt to play for.

I've just no bones with how Cryne spends his money, provided he's helping BFC. And if incomings at BFC don't cover outgoings, who or what IS making up the difference?

Maybe you should issue Cryne with an ultimatum..."it's us or them Patrick. If you don't act now, those pesky kids will come and nick our place in t'football lge"

I do not know if PC is involved with BFC.
I do not know if the academy stand was built for the reserves or for AFC.

My statement is still the same:
AFC was set up for a purpose which no longer exists.

AFC are the little chinese bloke who has been in the jungle for 20 years thinking that the war is still raging.

Cheers mate, some of the numpties on this board and in the town itself still think we are a threat to BFC even though most of the committe are season ticket holders or have been, we did what we did out of a love for our club while most ppl sat on thier hands (and wallets) and did nowt but pontificate, unfortunately or fortunately Frankenstiens monster lives and breathes so what do we do, kill IT OR nuture it to maturaty and see what sort of adult it turns into ?

i said as much the other week. but that IS a link that they have to barnsley. if the link is good or bad then that is up to you to decide.
