Its a football club, it plays football, what other justification for its existence does it need. Why should it justify itself to you, if you don't agree with it, thats up to you, but in the end, so what.

barnsley fc allowed afc barnsley to build a stand on our training ground so that they qualified for entry into a higher league. to me that is much much more than simply allowing them to rent out the pitches.

if i asked to rent out the 5 a-side pitch do you think they would allow me to build a structure in one of the goal mouths?

oh and dont worry TFP, afc barnsleys chairman says they paid for the stand. search for shefftyke and 'stand' you'll see the post.

I think is makes no sense - why should I not question that?

You don't have to justify yourself to me, did i ask you to. As for excellent logic, where is the link from justification of a football club to mass murder, I take it its tangential.

Of course you can question anything you like, but you are putting your questions to the wrong person/place, its almost as if you are doing it on purpose to make people look at you.

i wasnt saying i was bieng libbeled because i didnt mention anyones name all i,m saying is if anyone names names then they had better be 100% correct in thier facts otherwise the person they are mentioning can take action, its all well and good saying a man claiming tobe so-so says this or that it dont wash in court. the point i was trying to make is, you dont know who is reading your posts and if that certain person reads it and then takes offense. As for people having a go at me it,s water off a ducks back as anyone on this board who knows me will tell you, and anyway it,s all been a wind up everyone is entitled to there opinion and best of luck to them, x

You don't have to name names in order for it to be libel.

Dave Hancock is something to do with the Academy. Mark Hancock is Dave's brother and is manager of AFC.

They're facts and not libellous.

Hypothetically, wouldn't an academy manager who is also the funder of another club, be in a conflict of interest.

I'm led to believe Shefftyke no longer funds AFC.

As I said - AFC have made a point in trying to justify their existence on their website. Why would you do that unless it was now in question? I don't see that on any other football club website.

So, I went to the AFC website and I looked at their "Aims and Objectives" and it all seems fine and dandy to me, commendable in fact. Which particular aim/objective do you take offence at, I reckon it's number 6:

"To run the club as a community based side benefiting the area as a whole."
