RE: Look at me, look at me ... Who paid for the stand at the academy? Apparantly AFC did, which is strange considering they only rent the pitch and don't own the land. Who does it benefit except AFC?
That's right. I'm waving my fist at number 6 as we speak. I know why the club was set up (which was stated on the old BBS). Most other people know why the club was set up. If a new club had those objectives - then I agree with you. Very commendable & common sense. For AFC to adopt these when their initial purpose has been served is merely a thinly disguised, after the event pile of cack.
If that is true, whicj I'm not saying it is ... ... wouldn't you find it a bit odd? It's like renting a lane at the ten pin bowling ... then setting up your own burger stand next to it.
RE: Look at me, look at me ... ff I've been insulted many times but that takes the piss! Simple questions, why can't anyone give the answers?
Rubbish. New Stand - £5. New kit - £2. Players wages - £3. Having a team that's outlived it's purpose ... priceless.
RE: Look at me, look at me ... Well I'll bet £10k that the "right people" and their lacky's read this board. Like many questions about the club, I bet they're never answered.
Really. My aim was to drink this cup of coffee. When I completed that task - it was done. I did not decide to then drink every cup of coffee in the office, or start my own yoga movement. I had an aim, I achieved it ... and the purpose was served. My question is, and has been for the last few hours, what the hell is AFC? If it's someones plaything, just another local club or a potential feeder club to BFC - let's get it out in the open. It still makes no sense to me.
RE: Really. What happens next time you fancy a cup of coffee, do you deny yourself one because you've already done the coffee thing. You've read the aims & objectives right? Did you understand it? It tells you "what the hell is AFC?" You're still asking the questions in the wrong place.
RE: Look at me, look at me ... Why would they be, why should they be. Oh oh, if they don't answer a question about AFC at the arse end of a massive BFC Bulletin Board thread then its deffo a conspiracy, call the cops FFS.
RE: Really. Owing to the fact I was the person who mentioned them - yes I have read them. And as I have said - very commendable ... but I can't ignore why AFC was set up - and as far as I know it's basically the same people in charge. So what has changed? The ownership of BFC, that's all. AFC had to find a purpose & grasped at any straw they could find. They no seem to be nestled in with BFC ... which makes me very uncomfortable, but you can obviously think what you like. You are right - things change. Like having the need for AFC Barnsley.
RE: you do realsie that AFC's chairman is a moderator on this site dont you? Shefftyke, of course. But he's under no obligation to read every post and certainly under no obligation to answer AFC questions on here.
RE: Really. In that case, what is the need for BFC? Or Birdwell Rovers or Sale Sharks or the Harlem Globetrotters.
RE: Look at me, look at me ... Easy Lesley 1. BFC aren't in the best financial shape ever. 2.A new stand has been built on BFC academy. 3.This stand in my opinion may have cost up towards £90k. 4. This stand serves no obvious benefit for BFC although I'm happy to be corrected on that 5. AFC rent the academy pitches from BFC 6. AFC's league require a stand on their ground. So the question for BFC is why was the stand built and who paid for it?
of course he is under no 'obligation' that is the whole point. IF they read it and ignore it then you have to ask why they are ignoring concerns. this is the same as when BFC ignore's its fans. In shefftykes defence he does answer questions.
RE: of course he is under no 'obligation' Yes he said AFC players on;y get £15 for winning a cup and no other money. So that's that one straight then.
