No point with no new players to watch and playing a team we can't exactly get excited about. I wouldn't expect us to be as lucky as the Blunts to get Inter Milan. But when we got Bordeaux the other season we were lead to believe it would be a regular thing. Even if nothing came from that why not a couple of home friendlies against foreign teams? Never played them before would be a selling point, players get to play against a different style and our club profile will be at least raised in the area of the team we play. We should have been looking to play Nice at least.
Would have been nice to see Dazza Moore & see how the team is shaping up fitness / playing style wise.
I go to see Barnsley play but WBA are attractive enough opposition. I'm sure "Big Dave"will get a welcome and, hopefully, so will Harvey Barnes.
I'll have a trundle along. I love Darren Moore and want to give him a clap. But you never know what you're gonna get. I've seen McIndoe score a fantastic free kick, Bogdanovich score a great goal against newly moneybags City and of course Big Jean nodding one in from 25 yards against Man U kids. I like friendlies against decent opposition.
Surely the object of the exercise is to prepare for the start of the season next week , therefore I do not think playing against a different style would be beneficial , just my opinion though .
not a part timer mate... I took early retirement 3 years ago at 60... that's why we are almost allus on holibobs
You can’t even be bothered to make a 680 mile round trip for a pre season friendly against higher league opposition? Frankly, I’m disgusted. Ps....i was being sarcastic mate...
