My point is that some people make out as if things are that bad. Either they dont remember or weren't about at the time. The board has people on it who'd rather exaggerate and already difficult situation, claim their season ticket teddy is about to be thrown out of the pram and say they aren't coming any more. Fine, I understand it's not fun to watch - so write a letter to the club, disappear from the board, but for gods sake shut the f*ck up. It's tedious. The club needs support at the end of the day, whining on here will solve nothing, zero, zilch.
Totally fed up but I wont stop going. I am a supporter of BFC so feel I have to do my bit (no heroics, just what I can personally afford) to support the club. I may not renew my ST next season but I will go to games still. But when it comes to it I probably will get one, I prefer the convenience of a ST as I live 50 miles away and the club don't make it easy to get tickets.
Never! That is like saying would you give up on your family just because times are hard? There a a lot of axes to grind, but right now everyone needs to roll their sleeves up and get ready for a scrap!!
No, not even close. I wish some things at both board a managerial level were different, but that doesn't mean I'm going to abandon the club. To be honest it would be like cutting off my nose to spite my face. I look forward to games far too much to consider not going. Anyway, I don't think everything down at Oakwell is so wrong. Running the club in the black is very important to me. Much more so than the standard of the pies or a number of other issues raised on here. I think the club deserves some credit for that.
Had enough of Rowing and Taylor And their 'no comment' Of Rowing's meeting with supporters which in my opinion undermine the football management at Oakwell. Of a pricing policy that excludes occasional supporters, those who work most Saturdays and that doesn't engage with lapsed supporters. Of a marketing policy that extends to facebook and twitter. Of comical/tragic catering. Hopefully we'll have a club when the current day-to-day management has departed. But it's my town and my club, I support it - but my support's taken for granted. That won't last.
I just wish I was in a position to attend Kev these days due to my job I am largely unable to get to any game, half a dozen (thats total home and away) if I am lucky. I am like you and Dave, I began going around 1961..and loved my team ever since.I moan and bitch when they are like they are now, but its still Barnsley, and thats my perogative. At present I am numb with the pain of our situation. But it will get better, when I do not know.
People can come on this board and say what they want that's what it's for, they could come on and tell you to shut the **** up if they're that way inclined.
I started watching back in 74, so seen a lot worse than this. Mind, was only 30p to get in back then for me & my dad was payin'
Not that it matters now, but i thought supporting the 11 players was more important than what you think of Don. Still he's still here, will be involved in picking the new manager - so you're position is really no different. You got rid of the King, but not the Kingmaker.
