Anyone have a ‘cherished number’ number plate and get aggro from police

    Nope

My number plate measures in at 2" in height, 8" in width. It has 3 Toby Tyke logo's in the background. With "Barnsley FC" as the "slogan" at the bottom of the plate.

Within the past fortnight, I can recall riding past 4 traffic cars, not even one of them gave me a second look.

I'm sure you can afford a £30 fine and a telling off, if you do get caught.

Where did you get your toby logo, and where did you get your plates made up

Got it done by a company in Sheffield, cost me £12.

But, that'd be £24 if you're on about a car, I'm on about a bike.

What vehicle you got? How old are ya? Just being nosey like

P reg rover, but registration mark is E reg, but it is currently on retention certificate. I don't know whether to put it on the rover or wait until i get a newer car. I'm late 30s and got the plate as it spells out abbreviation of my sons name, so i can pass it on in 10 years

Ah right, excuse my noseyness, if that's even a word!

I'll try and find the guy's email address if you'd like, so you can get him to draw up a design for you, I'll get someone a bit more computer minded to upload my plate, after blanking out some of the letters if you wanna see the design he gave me.

A aquantaince got pulled up by police for his modified plate

Got issued with a £25 fine.

He asked the police highwayman what the problem with the plate was and the bobby said that if the van was involved in an accident he could drive off and the plate would be difficult to read

To which the driver replied, don't you think the four foot high "potters of Barnsley" sign might give away the owner?

Yeah, that would be great. At the moment I have found someone on ebay but it seems a lot of hassle getting designs etc to them.

how long have you had your plate

I've had it for a few months now.

Most of my friends have smaller plates too, known as "show plates" to most.

"Journo Tyke" is about to upload my plate, I had to edit some of the letters out incase any funny buggers decided to report the bike stolen :pff

Thanks. Presumably i just need to get a gif image of the logo i want and send it to the platemakers

    Depends what logo you want.

I emailed the guy and he designed the plates himself, I just gave him my registration.

I'll have a look for his address in a minute. For £12 including P&P per plate, you can't really complain. Plus, he'll do any size.

They HAVE to let the registered owner know within 2 weeks.

If they don't you can have the fine quashed !!!

Note If it's a leased car they have to let the leasing company know within 2 weeks not you.
