RE: It was definitely NOT a reds fan and quite badly injured It was Gary the Saints fan, my mate, who we were having some good banter with earlier. He died of his injuries.
RE: It was definitely a reds fan and quite badly injured Thanks Ian. It was good to catch up with you on Saturday. Glad you got home ok
RE: Sorry to hear that mate. Thanks. gary could be a pain in the arse when he had a few drinks, like most of us, but he had a heart of gold
I just don't believe it </p> Thats shocking. You're right he was drunk but it was all in good heart really.</p> Totally gobsmacked. We should have a collection or something mate- on behalf of the Barnsley fans who went down there (and indeed anyone who wants to contribute).</p> By the way it was the Police who told us it was a reds fan. They obviously initially thought he was.</p>
RE: I just don't believe it Cheers Paul. I will get some flowers or something for the funeral from the Barnsley lads.
Please do. I know that people will contribute. Especially those in the Giddy Bridge Let me know if you want me to organise the cash collection.
RE: Please do. I know that people will contribute. Especially those in the Giddy Bridge Thanks Paul, that is very kind of you. I would appreciate it if you could as you know more of them.
RE: It was definitely a reds fan and quite badly injured and you mate, had to cut away earlish from the varsity and get the train ,was gary the big guy in the white jaccket ?
Absolutely gutted to hear this news mate .... ... Gary went to 3 or 4 pubs with us after the giddy bridge and we 'lost' him, think it was about 9pm, when about 15 Southampton idiots came in the pub (they had been tracking us all day looking for a fight). Looked like they were giving him a hard time for drinking with us, that's the last we saw of him, we assumed he had not followed us to the next pub because of the grief he was getting from the 'local' thugs. Sincere condolences to you and his family and friends
***I'm running a collection for Gary for anyone who wants to contribute*** With the aim of getting some funeral flowers on behalf of the BBS/Reds Fans.</p> Obviously this is aimed more for people who met him in the Giddy Bridge and onwards fom there. If you'd like to contributea couple of quidemail me at harrow@londontykes.co.uk and I'lll either send you my PayPal address or my home address for cheques.</p> I'll then send the Money down to Salisbury so he can order some flowers for the funeral.</p>
They finally cornered 3 of ours in the KFC ......... .... around midnight (not me) but a couple of black eyes and a fat lip pale into insignificance given this news
There is an article in the Southampton Echo about this, that you can leave a message after Link</p> http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/display.var.1201903.0.man_killed_in_city_street_clash.php</p> </p>
