    I'd accept if he was sold (obviously I wouldn't have a choice), but I prefer it if we have decent players here for a long time (like Bobby Hassell and Luke Steele). It's a frustrating pastime being a football fan when players come and go so often. But money talks in football. And the agents continue to make money out of nowt and drain it out of the game.

    David currie was the most exciting striker I ever saw play at Barnsley heady days,crap when he came back though!

    I can't see their being any truth in this, but if we did receive an offer we should tell them to shove it. It'll cost us more than that if we go down, and he's still our best player by a country mile.

    He'd be lucky to get in the Notts County team never mind Forest the way he's played since around the time of the game v the pigs. Totally ineffective

    If so and the Notts Forest valuation is £1.5 million, ask yourself the question "has BFC ever turned down a transfer fee that is x5 what they paid"?

    I've asked around, and nobody has heard anything of the sort. That's not to say it isn't happening, or that I doubt your honesty pal. It's the January window and the rumour mill goes into overdrive now, and we're well known for losing our star players in it.

    But as I said earlier, I hope it's merely that - a rumour. I really like O'Grady. But reading this thread, it looks like I'm in the minority.

    He's had a poor spell for a couple of months, with a 6 game layoff inbetween. Prior to that, you'd be hard pushed trying to find a more effective target man through the rest of 2013 at this level.

    I can see someone offering around 600k, not 1.5 million.

    I'd expect us to accept 600k seeing as we never manage to keep our best players, so if it's true, we should bite their hand off! I reckon it's BS though

    Can't argue with that, a lot of our team were great from Jan to May but have had "a poor spell" from August to December, O'Gradys started a couple of months after most of em but nobody can tell me he's played well last two months

    He hasn't, you're right. But had he continued his good form the last two months, I'm pretty sure we would be seeing bids of upwards of £1.5m for him.

    My feeling is that managers will still see him as having had a great 2013, and worth a cheeky bid considering our precarious position and history of selling players on the cheap. And, he is a Notts lad is he not?
