Always wondered, where did the name Dimensions come from?

Good question. When we were opening the salon in Barnsley 40 years ago, we couldn't think of a name so I set to with the dictionary - got as far as D and found Dimensions - Simples.

    £200 plus four noughts:)

That sounds more like it. Thought you were Bill Gates for a minute then.

Dimensions is a good name, quite memorable and simple and at least it isn't cheesy like a cut above

    .... £2 billion - I wish:)
Be good news for BFC though, PC wouldn't need to look any further for a new partner.....

Once in drink in tarn @ Christmas - my m8s bird owned the Cut Above in Graham's Orchard and for a laugh "we" got a felt-tip pen and added a "n" to the name on the sandwich board outside the salon. She wasn't best pleased so we blamed some scabby young uns in 't tarn!!

i've heard some ***** on here aswell, cant believe a firm would tell a forum what their turnover is..couldnt see some of our other sponsers doing this.

if you are dimensions, good luck to you but to start replying to threads and giving estimates of your turnover,I cant believe you'd even take the bait, especially after 40 years:)

Not that daft though given that you can view quite detailed financial information of any company on the internet - companycheck.co.uk

Maybe we just aren't used to this kind of honesty given that the club are as detached from us fans as they've ever been - although at least Don seems to realise this now.

....DekParker, Dimensions is a group of limited companies, just like BFC, so our turnover is a matter of public record for anyone to see - so no hiding place. Anyone who knows me though, will tell you I'm just a genuine bloke who says it as it is !

Pasta, "who would I want as next Manager" - I'm inclined to leave that to those who know best. To be fair I'd never heard of Keith Hill till he came to Barnsley, so what do I know?
