Anyone nervous about Thursday?

I'm nervous because we've created a situation where it's easy to slip into the mindset of 'job already done', but there's still half the tie to play. The comforting thing is that this is only among the supporters (and wider public). Hecky and the team will be preparing as normal.

Walsall have nothing to lose on Thursday so can set up with a ridiculously attacking formation initially and try to get early goals, so I expect us to be under pressure from the start.

Also, if they're like me, anyone who was in the stands at this game in the first Danny Wilson era has never been able to relax with any kind of lead. What the summary doesn't show is that we were in danger of losing the game, and another minute of injury time would have probably done the job.

At this moment in time I'm in the process of buying my first house. I'm trying to force the purchase through ASAP so I can hand in my notice and accept a job offer without the fear of the mortgage company contacting my employer, finding out I'm on my notice period and pulling the mortgage. I know that the new employer won't hold the job for me forever, so it could get pulled because my useless solicitors won't pull their finger out and get me a completion date.

I'm on the brink of the biggest financial commitment of my life, whilst also running the risk of a great job and a hefty pay rise slipping through my fingers. I've got knots in my stomach 24/7. Not because of any of that, but because I'm worried that a football team might lose on Thursday.

I love football, but it must have taken years off my life.

 

Nervous? a little

Quietly confident is more like how I'm feeling

We have a team that's starting to get back to how it was before our last Wembley trip, we have a group of players with fantastic attitude, courage and no little skill. There are no signs of complacency or over confidence and they all work their socks off for each other.

On Saturday I saw a weak defensive set up in Walsall and not just the back four but the whole team

We are streets in front of them absolutely streets in front.

No bothered whether they score or not cos we WILL score at least 1 maybe 2 on the night
