    Just back from vets

Vet didn't find anything wrong, did the usual checks, took blood tests as well and they all came out ok. So possibilities are either that it's a one-off caused by some poison she picked up outside, or could be epilepsy which would be what she is treated for if she has another fit but in the meantime no medication and a clean bill of health for her. But they wouldn't normally give medication unless the cat was in a prolonged fit or was having regular fits.

    So thats a relief.

Glad to hear your cat is ok.

Hopefully it was just a one off thing.

It was £60 actually, for the vet to check her over and to have blood tests done, so I didn't think it too bad given the blood tests and getting results back within 15 mins

Bit through it's tongue and bled to death, it was a nasty little b*stard, you couldnt handle it or it would have your hand off, i guess he got a bit careless eating his snap.

I have a dog, who as had fits for 10 years, she is on Epiphen tablets. She as had them since she was three year old.

Has you say it is very distressing when you see them for the first time, but don't worry, if you decide to keep your cat, the trauma at seeing it have fits will soon subside, and with medication will lead a normal and active life.
Also if it as to be on medication it could be an expensive job, my advice if your cat as to be on medication for the rest of i'ts life is get a prescription from your vet, and go on to a
web site to find her medication . It will save you pounds. One last thought, my bitch as out-lved all her litter brothers and sisters, and now thank god i didn't have her put down at the time. She as given me so much pleasure and companionship, but it is your decision, good luck.

    Yes my beloved Archie

Archie is about 15 years old cross whippet with congestive heart disease. About 6 months ago he was at a friends on the lawn when he threw up, then collapsed with one side all limp. Kept trying to stand up but couldn't, even tried to **** his limp leg up and pee. Pathetic and upsetting to watch. All over after about 2 minutes and managed to walk him home slowly.

Went to vet disgnosed malnutrition he was throwing up all the time and not digesting his food properly. Treatment was special food for sensitive stomachs and lots of it. Works wonders only problem is costs a fortune but who gives a toss about that.

Nearly 16 now, got to go sometime but in the meantime he's still fun to be with. God only knows what I'll do when he goes.

    Good luck mate.
