Re: Update I'd be amazed if the retentions department don't have a bonus scheme for getting people to stay with them. It's normal practice in that type of position. They should record all their calls. If you can be bothered, write to them as a complaint, asking them to investigate what has happened and provide feedback to you on what was said and agreed in these conversations. If they did make it up that he agreed to stay, or they really coerced him, there could be some compensation to come out of it...
