Anyone recommend any cheap loan companies?

    Indeed

AS I suggested above. If you can be really organised the best way to go (assuming you actually want to pay off the debt) is to get it onto a 0% credit card and set up a direct debit as Zukkster says to pay the minimum amount. Then open a high interest savings account and set up a standing order for what would have been your loan repayment, or whatever repayment schedule you want, into the savings account. When this has enough cash in it and you've come to the end of a 0% offer use the money to pay off the "loan" and use the interest fm the savings account to buy yourself a few celebratory beers.

If you can do this right then you actually get paid for borrowing money. Which is nice. The trick is to make sure you stick to the repayment schedule (missed standing orders can be expensive) and don't let the amount borrowed get out of hand as you never know what's around the corner. But, used carefully it's a good way to borrow relatively small amounts of money.

    At one point last year

I was earning interest on £20K from interest free credit cards. Unfortunately most companies are asking for fees now though.

Alliance and Liecster bank accountas are going to earn me £100 this month though. £25 if you recommend as friend and £25 to the friend. That's my mate and me, my wife and me, the kids and me. Actually it might end up at more like £200 if they let me open an account for the kids.
