I don't want to say anything I can't.
But to say you're allowed to say anything is not true. On here or anywhere else. Freedom of speech doesn't exist in UK law.

Aye, you'll get sacked for being a ****** We don't tolerate ******* anymore in this country. Which I think is brilliant.
But the thing is That it's normally English/White/British (or however you want to put it) people that actually worry that these 'ethnic minorities' will complain if we celebrate St Georges' Day/fly an England flag etc, and therefore spoil everything. I know dozens of Asian people and am good friends with many, and they all follow England in sports events and love the country and wouldn't dream of living in India/Pakistan. It's usually someone like a White/English/British councillor of a town that has a diverse ethnic population that bans English flags, or Christmas trees or something daft just in case someone might get offended. It all gets massively blown out of proportion. Some of the things the BNP claim are utter cadswallop.
But you're allowed to say that?
Not as simple as it looks from inside your own set of criteria.

I'm saying you can pretty much say what you want As I said, you have to say it long and loud to be disciplined, be that abusive (like I've just been) or discriminatory (like discotyke often is).
RE: Aye, you'll get sacked for being a ****** Ahh ......'a ******'.......and I thought only the BNP were suppossed to be aggressive and prejudiced in their words and actions.
I'm not being prejudiced Unless you can be prejudiced against *******. Dunno, have ******* got their own action group?
That may be what you're saying now.
But it wasn't what you were saying whenI challenged you.
Being able to say "pretty much" what you like and freedom of speech are worlds apart.

RE: But the thing is 'I know dozens of Asian people and am good friends with many, and they all follow England in sports events and love the country and wouldn't dream of living in India/Pakistan.' Fair enough then, a truly representative sample from the thousands of Asians who live over here. S) Why then do a large number of them cheer Pakistan whenever they play England in England. Don't tell me, it's the overseas travelling Pakistani Barmy Army??
Agreed on the last thing. But complaints definitely do come from muslim sources. I've worked with loads of em and none of them have given a **** about the George Cross etc but that's not to say they aren't out there.
By the way, just remembered, the most religious and trustworthy man I ever knew, a devout muslim but without all the mysogyny etc, practically invented modern English football fanware. He's handled more George Crosses than ...er....Idon'tknowwhat.

Maybe there isn't freedom of speech But I've never felt that I can't say what I want to say other than curbing my foul language in certain situations, but that isn't because I can't say it, just that I don't want to be judged negatively. Even the BNP seem to get away with a lot of inflammatory stuff. Wasn't Nick Griffin acquitted when they tried to get him? BNP members have been done for actual violence, but have any of them been sent down merely for the things they've said? I dunno btw, I'm asking, but I can't remember that happening.
I think the problem is if they came down on the BNP for half the stuff they currently get away with-
...they'd have to arrest a lot ofMuslim clerics, speakers etctoo and obviously that wouldn't do.

RE: But the thing is I think the words 'double standards' springs to mind when considering what's wrong with it. Quite happy to milk the generous benefit systems we provide, take money from the jobs we provide etc but when it comes to backing us in sporting event's, don't want to know and instead, back their cultural ancestors rather than support their country of birth. I guess you don't have a problem people from Barnsley supporting the Sheffield clubs either.
RE: But the thing is Probably because they're from Pakistan? They cheer England v everyone else though. Or maybe they'd come over from Pakistan to watch?
Really don't see what your issue is My dad's half scottish, but born and raised in England. Whenever England play Scotland he supports Scotland. Whats the problem with that?
RE: But the thing is There's a lad at work whose Dad is Indian but he himself was born and raised in England. He is neutral when the two teams play each other. Fair enough to me.
