RE: But the thing is But you're making out that it's only the ethnic minorities that milk our benefit system, there are just as many white British people doing exactly the same, and I'm sorry but supporting our national team doesn't make up for that. Of course I don't have a problem with people from Barnsley supporting Sheffield clubs. If they want to do that, it's their choice. I tend to be more bothered about my own choices and the club that I support.
To me people who vote BNP are like Muslim extremists Both of them are disaffected groups of people looking for someone to blame for their issues and someone charismatic with their own agenda finds a way to exploit them to their own ends by providing a scapegoat
RE: Really don't see what your issue is Sorry, can't get my head round this switching allegiances when it suits. Surely you are one thing or the other and there can't be middle ground. With all due respect to your Dad, does it not dilute his passion a little for England by switching sides depending on which country England are playing.....I would imagine he would have to invesnt a new chant............'England till I die, I'm England till I die, I know I am, I'm sure I am .........unless they're playing Scotland' !!!!!!!!!!?????
Not really Similarly I want Scotland to do well when they're playing. However, if they are playing Engalnd I do want Engalnd to win as i identify myself as being predominantly English. It doesn't mean I can't be proud of my Scottish heritage. And regardless of that it says British on all our passports
RE: To me people who vote BNP are like Muslim extremists In a way you have a point........although to be fair, I'm still yet to meet a BNP member who straps bombs to his back and tries to blow up a city or flies planes into sky scrapers to cause mass destruction and loss of life on unprecedented scales.
There;s terrorists across all cultures and races Timothy McVeigh, IRA, Unionists, Eta, Basque Separatists and on and on. Does that make all white americans, Irish, Spanish etc terrorists? David Copeland was a British Neo-Nazi who targeted gay, balck and bangladeshi people in London with nail bombs a couple of years back
RE: There;s terrorists across all cultures and races Now you are muddying the waters. Your comparison was BNP v Muslim extremists, nowt about the other groups you now mention.
that's the problem everything is exaggerated there is clearly an arguement that the levels of immigration we have seen in recent years are perhaps too high and that the over sensitivity that is often shown is wrong. It is also important to point out that in many cases no ethnic minorities express their annoyance but its just the people in charge too scared for some reason - remember the fire station told not to fly the cross of st george during the last world cup and the local muslim council came out and said why would they be offended at english people in england supporting england. however, the BNP do not work in sensible debates but blatant racism and violence, unfortunately preying on people who I can only assume do not have a full grasp of what is going on. For God's sake don't let this lot masquerade as a legitimate political organisation they are THUGS. as are many on the far left just to be clear this applies to others as well but the BNP are the ones threatening a breakthrough.
RE: that's the problem everything is exaggerated I support BNP's general principles as oppossed to the extreme characters who associate themselves with the party. And therin lies the problem. Express support for BNP and you are automatically labelled a racist thug by many.
why not vote UKIP then mate? seriously it seems to me they are a sensible, democratic option of representation for those like me and you who support the withdrawal of this country from the European Union and tighter immigration controls, although whether I would vote fot them in particular I'm still not sure I don't know his name but Nick Griffin's right hand man at one stage had Hitler quotations tatooed on his back...enough said
To be fair, if you take the three bombings on 7 July 2007 as one attack there has only been one Islamic terrorist attack in London that has caused loss of life. that is not to say that there isn't a dangerous minority of Muslim extremists prepared to do it again. Similarly that isn't t to say there isn't a dangerous minority of neo-fascists like David Copeland either.
Funny you should say that Put up with agony all day so opted to polish off a bottle. It'll probably come back to haunt me later
Ironically for this thread It was given to me by a likeable, hard working graduate engineer from Malaysia as a leaving present when HE was made redundant.
Similarly, what about New York Twin Towers and the underground bombing in Tokyo to name two for starters plus the plethora of failed attempts......come on, whatever you think of BNP, to make out they are like for like with Muslims in this respect is outrageous.
