I'd love a piano. Is there anyone else giving away a house I can fit the piano in. And a van I can collect it in. And a mate who will help me collect it and maybe stick around for a pint or two with after.
Doh!! I blame the OP. Just had to take my Yamaha CP88 into an authorised service centre as a couple of keys have just started randomly sounding at full volume even when playing them gently. Can be a bit startling when it happens. Just 3 weeks past the 3 year guarantee too . That said I have done a few gìgs and play at least 2 hours every day (more during lockdown ) so I suppose it was due a service and repair. Considering a conventional piano would have had to be tuned yearly it would have cost about 90 euros each year it still works out cheaper. Hopefully it will be at the e lower end of "up to 15o euros" ball park figure they quoted and not too long before I can collect it. Feeling a bit lost without it looking at the space in the studio where it should be. Got to dig out my old 80's Ensoniq SQ32 as a stop gap but it is seriously 'Old Tech'.
I tried to give one away 5 yrs since, had about 15 look at it, nobody took it, ended up going to Bonfire, good luck
