Totally agree with you mate. How we didn't win is beyond me. We must have created six or seven great chances, and I'm still wondering how Richards missed the two that he got. The only thing I have to moan about is that we could have brought someone in on deadline day that would have given the strikers something else to think about. A new player, new competition, perhaps a few more goals. Oh and something else. A few fans criticising those (including me) who applauded the players at the end. Unbelievable. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.
RE: My God.. "A striker is not about scoring goals" you really are thick, what does the term striker mean to you, can't wait for your response.
I'm happy to be honest... Because the people who talk sense on here and whose opinions I actually care about have replied agreeing with me. The rest of you can keep being as negative as you like - you don't deserve a successful club.
Well considering we play upfront together for a team.. We'd like to think that if we set up chances for the other striker or for the midfielders to score, its exactly the same as scoring a goal yourself. Not that you'd understand, being a moron n' all.
You can be proud of that post mate......... summed it up in one keep playing like that a we'll be in play offs im sure, brilliant post.
RE: I'm happy to be honest... Yeah, I'm gutted about the result, but today was a game where we totally outplayed our opponents and did everything right apart from score. Everyone put 100% in, what more could we have asked for? The referee was atrocious, up there with the Trevor Kettle's of this world. He refuses to book a player who goes straight through Richards' legs from behind, yet books Nads for shooting just a few seconds after the whistle was blown. Shocking. What did you think about the penalty incident?
RE: I'm happy to be honest... Thats football, we are all entitled to opinions and whose to say whose right or wrong ? To say we don't deserve a successful football club is a bit harsh. We're on here cos we care and days like today just frustrate the hell out of you. I've had more than thirty years at it and I still keep going back for more. Wonder if accupuncture might work !!?
RE: You can be proud of that post mate......... Exactly was a great post. It's a shame that not everyone is capable of posting with such reasoning and common sense.
They can shoot me down as much as they like.. but they're not going to change my mind that: a) They're morons. b) They know nothing. c) The team played well today.
RE: Well considering we play upfront together for a team.. Rufus is obviously a footballing cretin. Hayes hasn't scored as many as he should have but to say he's **** is just pure ignorance.
RE: My God.. he,s scored 6 fackin league goals all season, put him in midfield if he,s a good creator, but he certainly is no striker!
And who is? He's the best striker and the top scorer at the club. That might reflect on how badly the others have done, but its a fact.
Absolutely spot on Hayes was magnifico even after several vinos n not being able to work out why he looked different
Can't be arsed to read all the posts, but we can't SCORE. So what good does "bossing it" do? Haven't scored today, Huddlesfield did. **** all points, ded reyt. Are well at least we bossed it.
RE: And who is? Hayes justifies his place in the team due to his skill on the ball and his ability to link up and create chances for others. Not every striker is picked solely for their goal scoring ability. Two examples are Kevin Davies at Bolton and LuaLua at Pompey, they've barely scored 10 league goals between the pair of them but are both first choice strikers at their clubs.
