In any other circumstances its an obvious sackable run. If it was Stead people would be screaming for him to go.
Same manager, same recruitment, same owners. Relegation form since Clarke left, that'll be the same too. It'll be a battle to stay up next year.
Yeah but it is what it is, apparently. And also, remember your not a true supporter if you dare to criticise anything the club does.
Yeah same here as well Shed. And I think it was disgraceful how a large number of fans turned on Neil Collins, pretty much straight away. The sacking of him and the timing of it especially, was just appalling incompetence.
Why is everyone berating Hourihane? He's adopted a squad that's inadequate. Give him the opportunity to adopt his own style, with players he trusts. And if he fails, then quiet rightly you can aim vitriol at his door. Now is not the time point the blame in his direction. Again, he can only p*ss with the pr*ck he was born with.
That pr*ck won 3 out of Clarke's last 5 games and had us a few points outside the play offs. We are p*ssing with the same pr*ck but have only won one in nine since the person holding said pr*ck was changed.
The only pr*ck here in my humble opinion is you my friend. I'll stick with my opinion. You stick with yours. One day you'll post something positive on this board. But hell will probably freeze over beforehand.
Didn't watch today. It isn't looking good. Will be a fight next season to just stay in the division, as things stand.
Clarke had them in the playoffs for most of the season, our form since is relegation. Conor has to take some responsibility.
Sincere apologies for the derogatory terminology used. However, I stand by my original comment in regard to the unnecessary berating of the current headcoach. I accept that CH isn't setting the world alight at the moment, but to singlehandedly point the malaise at the club solely in his direction is, in my opinion, unjust. You mentioned that DC managed to win 3 out of 5 games before he got sacked, but you failed to mention he failed to win any in the previous six games before that run. That underlines how underperforming this squad has been this season. Pep Guardiola would struggle to get a consistent tune out of this squad in my opinion. I'm willing to cut CH some slack, and give him a clean slate, and the chance to implement his own ideas once he's been able to shape his own squad. It's now over to the recruitment team to give him the appropriate tools to assemble a squad worthy of a top six spot at the very least. Unfortunately, with their past record with recruitment, I'm not holding much hope. Fingers crossed for a change in fortune.
Contracted players are exactly that, the majority of the out of contract ones will be gone. We're just a club that is on a downer at the minute, big summer coming up and vital that we get off to at least a reasonable start next season.
Yeah exactly, and I still think its showing the decision to appoint Conor, was wrong. But with the appalling poor attitude and lack of effort and skill from these players, he's still got that on his side admittedly. And in time, things might hopefully work out for him and us. Especially when he talks positively about identifying what's wrong, and what he needs to do etc. But that's what concerns me, with the massive clear out that's needed. He's got such a big job ahead of him, and remember he's only just starting out as a manager/coach.
