I guess it was the money they gained from being in the prem (and not before ) that proved the catalyst for concern. So can't really blame the fans for turning up until they quickly realised something was going wrong.
Something should be in place where the FA in exceptional circumstances can force a owner to sell a club if they get a reasonable offer. If Oyston was trying to buy Blackpool the FA probably wouldn't let him because he doesn't conduct himself as fit and proper. Yet because he's the owner they do nothing to help Blackpool get shut of him before they go under.
Havana you are spot on, I've watched pool since 86 and I've always known us be un happy about oystons. Remember when Brett got sold to saints in 01 for 2.1m we said that we would see some of that money invested... Nil Attached is a protest from early 90s so shows we were unhappy then but just couldn't prove anything. Getting to the prem'.. which belekon funded and was because of him (Owen paid him little and know owes him 25m) ... If he hadnt been involved we wouldn't have got the likes of Adam..DJ or finished the stadium off... But getting that 100m and then investing nil of it (sorry we have sprinklers now) highlighted what most of us had thought all a long but couldn't really prove. Ultimately greed has been their down fall... Oh as well as suing fans for 20k etc... I get other fans not bring bothered as it's not your club, but this could happen to any of our beloved teams and the EFL do Jack about it. Like I said on another thread owen was told to pay 25m over a year a go... Still nothing been paid.. Imagine us not paying our council tax.
